Past Recipients

As a child, I attended St. Therese Catholic Academy for elementary and middle school.
Then, I attended Holy Names Academy for high school. I was a 4.0 GPA student. I took many
classes but some of my favorite ones were Chemistry, American Ethnic Studies, and Advanced
Placement Spanish. As a senior in high school, I applied and was accepted to six different
colleges. I applied to some in Seattle, California, and Washington D.C. I decided to go to Loyola
Marymount University in California, which is the college I currently attend. I am a part of the
College of Business Administration studying finance and minoring in psychology. I have
accomplished a lot within my freshman year. I was on the Dean’s list for both semesters. I work
front desk at the Ethnic and Intercultural Services. I was the marketing chair for the National
Society of Black Engineers, and I was also a part of a Black Leadership Program called The
Learning Community.
